Carhenge gallery

Just north of Alliance, Nebraska, on our way home from Cheyenne Frontier Days, we happened upon Carhenge. Not much else around.

A severe storm was developing in the east as the sun was setting in a clear western sky, creating this unusual light.

Astra and I played with the cars and the diminishing light, then travelled on into a spectacular night storm.

The car on top of this pile is a '60 Plymouth Fury. Same car we went down to Disneyland in, summer of '61. It was red, though.
